World Hearing Day 2020 – Ear Camp
Hearing is an important sense among all the senses that we enjoy. If we loose it, we loose the connection with the people around us, we loose the pleasures of music and most importantly we loose the ability to get alerted about the impending dangers.
But, when it comes to hearing loss, there are lot of stigmas, myths and misinformations surrounding the treatment part of the hearing loss. Hence WHO (World Health Organization) has started to observe World Hearing Day on every 3rd of March to address these issues.
At the community level, we have observed the World Hearing Day by conducting a Ear Camp (Low profile – with out much of media coverage as we wanted to spend more time with patients) to screen and treat the patients with hearing loss and other ear related problems. We have experienced quite a good response from the community as many patients came with various ear related issues with majority of them with the complaints of Hearing Loss. Following are the few news coverage of the Ear Camp.
